    We are proud to offer a wide variety of educational options during the summer for our students. Here is a summary of the summer programs offered for 2017.

    K-Camp
    Grade Level:   Any student entering into Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten in the fall of 2017 can enroll. Click here to register for Summer 2017.

    Dates:            7/10/17 - 8/4/17
    Times:            8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    Location:        Truckee Elementary and Kings Beach Elementary

    Summer Scholars
    Grade Level:    For incoming first through fifth grade students who need additional literacy support. Space is limited and by teacher invitation only.

    Dates:            7/10/17 - 8/4/17
    Times:            8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    Location:        Truckee Elementary and Kings Beach Elementary

    Summer STEAM Academy

    All TTUSD students entering sixth through eighth-grade for the 2017-2018 school year are welcome to register for this exciting one-week summer STEAM program.  

    DATES:         8/07/17 - 8/11/17          
    TIME:           9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  
    LOCATION:    Different Programs are offered at two sites:
     
    1. Kings Beach Elementary School     
    2. Truckee Roundhouse (near the Airport). 

    Please visit http://www.truckeeroundhouse.org for more information and read about the exciting options that they offer year-round. We are excited to partner with Truckee Roundhouse and make several of these opportunities available during the Summer Steam Academy.
     
    SUPERVISION:           Certificated TTUSD staff will be at both locations.            
    MEALS:                      Breakfast and lunch will be provided. 
    TRANSPORTATION:    Pick-up and drop-off must be arranged by parents/guardians.
      
    Summer STEAM Academy registration is now open. Click here to register. Please come prepared with the following information to expedite your registration process. 
    Students will be registered on a first come, first-served basis.
     
    1) Your child's first two choices of the following:
    • Murder Mystery:  Basic Forensics - Kings Beach Elementary
    • Barge Building, Electric Car Construction, and Team Building - Kings Beach Elementary
    • 3D Design & Printing - Kings Beach Elementary
    • Electronic Wearables (eTextiles) - Truckee Roundhouse Makerspace
    • CAD (Laser Engraver, CNC Router, or Plasma Cutter) - Truckee Roundhouse Makerspace
    2) Your child's TTUSD Student ID number
    3) Your child's full last and first names.
    4) Whether your child would like breakfast and/or lunch.
    5) Your child's grade and school for the 2017-2018 school year in TTUSD
    6) Parent/guardian Email contact (Required)
    7) Language spoken at home
    8) Parent/Guardian name
    9) Parent agreement to drop off child at location between 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m., and pick up between 1:15 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
    10) Emergency contact
    11) RSVP for Showcase on Friday, August 11th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.


    High School Credit Remediation

    Grade Level:    Current ninth through 12th-grade students can remediate any class they earned a "D" or "F" that is required for graduation. Would you like to earn a "C" in an A-G approved course? If you're a motivated student who works well independently, then Apex Learning might be the place for you.

    Dates:             7/10/17 - 8/4/17 
    Times:             8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. 
    Location:         Alder Creek Middle School and Kings Beach Elementary

    Aim High
    Grade Level:    Incoming sixth through eighth-grade students. Aim High expands opportunities for low-income middle school students and their teachers through a summer learning enrichment program. 

    Dates:             7/03/17 - 8/04/17 
    Times:             8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
    Location:         Kings Beach Elementary

    Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe
    Grade Level:    Welcomes all students in Grades K-12. 

    Dates:             6/26/17 - 8/25/17 
    Times:             8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Location:         Kings Beach Elementary
